"Back in K1, (Katlehong) where I come from, we used to create boxes and bunks for sitting using off-cuts, wood that we would get from my Uncle's carpentry studio. My uncle Alfred Nkosi whom was a carpenter always taught us to use what we have to rise up and fet things we don't have. This design was motivated by the fact that to be where you want to be in life, you have to start small using what you have.. this chair was named after a place I grew up in, K1 (Katlehong)" -Sipho Khwebula Twala
